Practical Considerations

Burial plots are available at Drake Memorial Park for traditional burial or the interment of cremated ashes; both are designed to accommodate up to two family members per plot. Unlike most other cemeteries, burial rights at Drake Memorial Park are in perpetuity.

Plots may be purchased in advance by payment of the relevant pre-purchase plot reservation fee. A Schedule of Charges is available on request from the Park office.

Grave spaces are generally used in rotation, although we endeavour to accommodate reasonable requests for particular locations that are consistent with our plans for the burial areas.

In order to preserve the natural beauty of the Park for the benefit of everyone, a number of conditions apply to the sale of burial plots. Full details are contained in the booklet “Information for Prospective and Current Owners of Burial Rights” which is available from the Park office. We would ask that you read this booklet if you are considering a plot at Drake Memorial Park.
